During this interactive and hands-on learning session, participants will gain a deeper understanding of strength-based approaches to facilitating and building resiliency skills in youth. The 40 Developmental Assets and The Developmental Relationship Framework developed by The Search Institute will be presented as a starting point for exploring how we might be more intentional in reflecting on and strengthening relationships with young people.

- Gain a deeper understanding of how the 40 Developmental Assets framework can be applied to enhance your organization’s approaches towards boosting resilience in youth.

About the Speaker:
Ever since Tasha Thomas was a teenager, she knew that she had a passion working with youth. Tasha is currently sharing that passion as a Student Assistant Specialist with Caron Treatment Centers where she provides nicotine cessation prevention and intervention services to youth, schools and parents in the Greater Orlando community. In this role, she facilitates psycho-educational support groups, classroom presentations and trainings that provide information on substance use and healthy lifestyle.
