We will explore the 40 Developmental Assets and The Developmental Relationship Framework to better understand how to be more intentional in strengthening relationships with young people.
Objectives:
- Identify characteristics of resiliency and strategies for how it can be built over time.
- Gain a deeper understanding of how the 40 Developmental Assets framework can be applied to enhance approaches towards boosting resilience in youth.
- Learn how the Developmental Relationships Framework can be applied to strengthen its impact with youth.
About the Speakers:
Tasha Thomas is the Lead Student Assistant Specialist with Caron Treatment Centers . In this role, she provides nicotine cessation prevention and intervention services and s in Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. Prior to her work at Caron, she spent the past 20 years serving at risk youth in the Orlando community, including nine years as a School Counselor. Tasha received her bachelor’s degree in Communications and also holds a Master’s degree in School Guidance and Counseling.
