Sam Winikoff serves as Advanced Recovery Systems’ Chief Legal Officer. In a prior role with a nationwide behavioral healthcare provider, Sam was instrumental in overseeing legal and regulatory compliance matters, reshaping corporate compliance, and managing state licensing across multiple facilities. His initiatives not only streamlined processes but also resulted in substantial financial savings.
Before this, Sam honed his skills at top-tier law firms in Florida, where he provided legal representation to behavioral health care providers, addressing their diverse legal and compliance challenges.
A graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Sam’s engagement in several legal associations demonstrates his commitment to upholding industry standards. This includes his role as co-chair of the privacy subcommittee for the American Health Law Association’s Behavioral Health Practice Group and his active participation in the Florida Bar’s Health Law Section.
Beyond his core professional roles, Sam is deeply committed to community engagement and pro bono work. He provides pro bono services in Palm Beach County for juvenile delinquency and dependency matters, serves on the Florida Bar’s Legal Needs of Children Committee, and holds the position of Vice President for the Friends of the Lake Worth Beach Library.
